Sigh. Toris looked at the clock, watching the second arm twitch forward and waiting for the hour arm to move to the next hour. Once the arm finally moved, he gave a happy smile and walked outside of his office, heading towards the break room and humming happily as he walked there. He was happy that he could finally enjoy his break and take a nice rest on one of the seats in the room.
He was slightly tired of working, but he never stopped loving what he did. It was for the greater good, and it made him feel glad to be helping those who needed it or wanted it. To put a smile on someone's face... to know that you made someone happy, it was the greatest feeling in the world. Sometimes... the joy was worth all of the time he spent roaming around in different spots; sometimes, it wasn't when he was thanked with a serious nod or with a negative action. He shook his head slightly. No, he shouldn't think like that, helping people was good enough for him.
He walked over to the coffee maker, putting some beans and water inside of it and pushing some buttons. It soon went to work and started to make his favorite treat -- coffee. He sat in one of the chairs, giving a relaxed sigh and pulling out one of the books he had started to read recently. He had his own private library at home, and it was common for Toris to bring one or two to read during his breaks.
When the dripping of the coffee stopped, he got up and walked over to the machine, picking up the pot and pouring himself a cup of steaming coffee. He put some cream and sugar in it and gently stirred the mix, walking back to his spot and continuing his book. He drank out of his cup, burning his mouth as he didn't pay attention to how much he drank and how hot it was. He mentally swore at himself and frowned slightly, groaning and huffing. He folded the edge of the page to mark his spot and put his book away, wanting to pay attention to his coffee so he did not burn his mouth again.
[[ Sorry that this took too long and sorry that it's a bad start. ;u; ]]
