Name: Toris Laurinaitis
Age: 21
Country of Origin: Lithuania
Gender: Male
Position Sought: Sexual Crimes – Coroner (Medical Examiner) of the Sexual Crimes Department
Experience or Education in said field:Toris has a MD and is a licensed pathologist. Despite all of this, he almost has no experience. During his practice, he was accidentally given a body for an actual case; he handled the case well and did well from what he found out after being told this. (He only put together the pieces between some things rather than solving the whole thing.) He’s spent most of his time studying for this, so he spends most of his time preparing himself for his work.
Physical appearance: He has a lanky build, and his brown hair falls to his shoulder. The Lithuanian man has pale skin, and it seems to be void of any scars, bruises, or anything of the sort. Taking a closer look at the Lithuanian man, one will find some faded bruises and tiny scars from him taking such a beating while growing up. Toris tends to keep this a secret from anyone, even his own friends and superiors, but if a person would take a look at his back, that person would find scars, both of small size and of large size. He seems to have a small and fragile frame, but he does have some strength in his body because of the fights and his martial arts training. He does admit that he is not the tallest or the strongest person in the world, but he can prove as a formidable opponent. Occasionally, the Lithuanian man will wear his brown shoulder-length hair in a ponytail; he usually wears it while he’s working or cleaning.
His skin is tanned. The reason for this is that Toris used to love going outside to plant, care, and feed for plants that he grew. At home, he grows a garden and still cares for plants as much as he used to do when he was younger. His tan skin gives away his scars from previous beatings. Most of the scars are hidden under his clothes, but he has no shame of the smaller ones he had received from the past. The bigger scars on his back are the ones he doesn’t like to talk or think about. They bring back bad memories from the past that were about his father. He doesn’t smile when these scars are mentioned; his demeanor becomes darker… as does the air around him become darker too.
Distinguishing features: One of the first things a person will notice when they see Toris is his sincere smile. It usually stays on his face, and even in bad times, he will smile to keep others around him pleased. His smile can also hide his true emotions, and he uses this to his advantage, using his never-changing smile as a mask for his face. Another thing that some people will notice is his striking emerald green eyes. They almost always hold a happy and joyful glimmer. His eyes usually give away what he is thinking or what his mood is, as his eyes express his emotions more than his face will express his emotions.
Character history/personality:
Personality-
Toris is a generally happy young man who would do anything to keep his friends happy and cheerful. He usually wears a mask to hide his true emotions, but sometimes, it is easily seen right through. He could be dying on the inside, and still, the Lithuanian man will be smiling and laughing. How he does this, no one knows, but all that people know is that he will still give a warm smile to others. Toris will be glad for anything given to him or will be the happiest around his friends, and he likes to spend time with his friends. He is a serious recluse, and he sometimes enjoys being alone to just get away from life. His good nature usually makes him easily used and taken advantage of, but he won’t realize it until it has gone too far. He is very welcoming and open, but he is not a social butterfly, as he tends to shy away from some people. The Lithuanian man has some difficulty maintaining eye contact with others, and he will sometimes get nervous and sometimes go into a panic attack if led into it. He has great difficulty talking about himself, and he will lie to people about his life just to not talk about himself.
Though the Lithuanian man can be happy, there is a “darker” side to him. He easily gets depressed and bored. He can sometimes become so depressed that he will give himself a horrible stomachache. He tries not to get this depressed, but it happened so often during his childhood that he got easily depressed and could not keep himself from it. He will often find some space to be alone and to roll over in pain in. He tries to not be around other when he starts to get depressed, as he does not want to get them depressed or worried as well. He also tends to take the blame for things, and he will protect other people so that they can get out of trouble. He does not know why he does this, but he just feels a strong drive to stand up and take the blame for things, even if the Lithuanian did nothing at all. He takes the blame for them so that his worry for other people won’t grow too much.
On the subject of worry, the Lithuanian man could very well be the definition of a worry-wart. He will worry ever so constantly about his friends and family, and he cares very deeply for those people around him or the people he is close to. He will frequently make any sort of communication to check up on others, and sometimes will often hurt himself from worrying too much. He easily panics and freaks out if his worry helped him find out that something was going wrong, and he also panics if someone does not reply quickly to his calls, letters, and other sources of communication.
Even though Toris can be happy, as any human is, he gets angry too. Angry is not the best way to put his fits of rage. When he is angry, it is best just to stay away from him, as he will find things to throw at you to either hurt a person physically or emotionally. Even if he has nothing to throw, he will use his hand to harm someone if angered enough. He becomes increasingly violent, attacking anyone, including his brothers and friends. There are a few things that make him tick like this, and most people have never seen this side of him.
- History
Toris was born into a somewhat poor family. He usually spent most of his time as a little kid either inside of the house and helping his mother or outside, alone from the world. He had a hard time opening up to people, only having a few select people as his friends. He was almost always lonely as a child, hanging in the background and only dreaming and wishing to be known. He only felt how good it was to have fun with someone when he spent time with a boy he knew. They would do everything together, and the two were good friends. Sadly, he had to leave his friend because his mother had decided to move. A few months back, his mother had gotten divorced, and she decided to move in with a man she met about a month ago.
After they had moved into their new home, Toris was forced to start from step one on making friends. Because he didn’t want to start over again and became frustrated with making new friends, the boy gave up on making friends and often lurked around people. As he grew up in his new home, his mother got married to this man, had a child, and later divorced him. Toris felt happy with the new addition to his family, but it was soon taken away as that family became broken apart like his own.
His mother found another man, moving in with him and making the same mistake of marrying him. Toris felt that this new family would not be a good idea, and while his mother was still pregnant, his second step-father died of an “accident” at work. He was never allowed to hear it, but he had eavesdropped on a man and his mother’s conversation. The real reason behind his death was a murder, but it was no regular murder. He had been intoxicated, led into a room, toyed with, and choked to death. They talked on and on, and the Lithuanian boy could no longer take the story, leaving and going to play with his brothers.
After his mother had gotten over her past husband’s death, Toris’ father had suddenly reappeared in his life, asking to move in with her and become a family again. His mother agreed to it, but little did she know was that he had become addicted to drinking. When his father came home, it was just another afternoon of hell. Another beating, more yelling, and more silent tears of pain came each day; and the only time it stopped was when Toris’ father finally died of liver cancer. His mother fell into depression, wanting to do nothing. Toris was forced to make his own living and forced to trade college with work.
While living for his brothers, he gained money doing small jobs around the stores; once he obtained enough money, he attended a university. There, he established his career as a medical examiner. He began to study in basic crimes, such as simple murders. As he progressed, his major swayed into a medical examiner in sexual crimes. As years passed, his experience grew; he eventually graduated.
After graduating, he was recommended for a spot in the BAU office to work as a coroner, and those who recommended him were only pushing Toris out of his comfort zone, which was in a small office surrounded by other students and teachers. He liked to teach the other and be taught if he did something wrong, as he is always afraid of messing up. Pushed out of school and into work, Toris does his best to stay bright and happy working in the work place. He also does his best not to mess up.
Likes/Dislikes:
-Likes-
- Cleaning. Toris loves cleaning, and he will do it anytime. He enjoys the fresh scents of the cleaning liquids, and he enjoys the time it takes to have everything fully clean, as he has mostly nothing to do, and time flies while he’s cleaning. He also enjoys the result of cleaning. Cleanness, freshness, and newness are what he expects to be the outcome of his work; and the spotless rooms that he cleans bring him joy. He truly enjoys having a clean house, and when it is clean, only then will he rest.
- Reading. The Lithuanian enjoys reading things such as novels or any type of book. He usually passes the time reading if he isn’t all ready passing the time cleaning, and he will get so absorbed into the books that he reads that he won’t even eat or drink anything until he either finishes the chapter or finishes the whole book itself. As well as that, it also is a way to escape from reality, and it keeps him dreaming and wanting something for him that would fit him best, since most of the stories he reads are like perfect realities or perfect tragedies (he usually tries not to read tragedies) for the protagonists or the characters in the story.
- Keeping people happy. It’s one of his favorite things to do. He would do anything to see people happy or glad instead of sad and depressed. He’s a people-pleaser, and easily gives up to crying or whining.
- Warm weather
- The sun
- His friends
- Being free
- Peace and quiet
- Cooking
- Farming / Gardening (an old time hobby of his he did as a kid)
-Dislikes-
- Anything being filthy
- Cruel people
- People touching his back
- Having the scars on his back
- Sad or depressed people

- Extremely cold weather
- The stomachaches he easily gets
- Being separated from his brothers
Quirks/Fears:
Fears-
- Athazagoraphobia- Fear of being forgotten or ignored or forgetting. This is one of the things Toris fears the most. He sees being forgotten as being deemed unworthy of people’s time which eventually leads to a downfall or being alone for long periods of time such as months or years. Since he’s been around people for most of his life, he plans to stay around people who will talk to him. This fear also triggers one of Toris’ other fears, and because being forgotten gets him depressed, he tries not to get too depressed, as he tends to get suicidal after a few hours of being depressed.
- Autophobia- Fear of being alone or of oneself. He’s deathly afraid of being by himself, and he’ll go insane if left for an hour by himself. He tends to start panicking, and later, his condition gradually worsens by the minute. He believes that if he is alone, he might do something he could eventually regret or could potentially keep him from doing something he loves. This is why he generally likes to stay around people, and he keeps a smile on his face to attract attention from others.
- Thanatophobia- Death or dying. He greatly fears death, as he knows death lasts forever. He also fears the day that the people he cares for get injured in one way or another. He deeply cares for those around him, and to see them hurt would be like being tortured and brutally beaten for Toris, even if it was the people who had hurt him before.
Quirks-
- Protective. Anything that Toris truly loves with all of his heart, he will protect and try to keep them close.
- He stutters slightly, especially when he’s nervous or flustered.
- He has the tendency to not care too much for his health, often going the distance for the health of others rather than himself.
- Toris believes that everything and everyone has good in them, and this can be seen as both a quirk and a good thing. He is often corrected for it though, as some people will tell him that he “thinks too positive.”

[[Set in a historical setting of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, sort of and ‘end-day’ thing]]
Toris sat back on the grass, his hair tied back with a few pieces of hay that were twined together. He laid his head on the arms that rested behind his head, making himself comfortable in the small pile of hay that was made to be his bed. He fixed a few pieces of the ‘bed’ with his feet, moving it around with his foot and yawning softly. It was the late afternoon, and he was waiting for Feliks to return from corralling the sheep into the barn. Before the night turned cold, the sheep needed to be led into the small home for warmth and shelter from the cold and anything else that would come to harm them.
He slowly drifted into a light sleep while waiting for his friend. The Polish man was often late in everything, and if not, he was probably going to come to get Toris to help him with the woolly beasts. Before he was able to hide those green eyes from the setting sun, the said Polish man came on his pony, riding into the barn and tapping his friend awake.
“Liet, don’t like, sleep now! It’s not even night,” he whined, using that sweet nickname that usually melted Lithuania’s anger and annoyance in a matter of moments.
“… All right, Poland, what do you need help with now?” the other asked, opening one of his eyes and smiling lightly. He saw right through the whine, knowing that his friend only needed his aid for something.
“Ah, I need you to help me corral the sheep with me; you know how they are!” He said, blonde hair swishing slightly as he turned the pony to head outside. “I’ll be waiting outside!” he called as his pony galloped away, heading after the sheep.
Toris chuckled softly, slowly getting up and off of the hay stack. He put his boots on and untied his hair, letting it fall to his shoulders. He silently made his way to the stable, taking the reins of one of the horses and taking the young filly that he raised. He mounted the large beast and rode off, going to help the struggling Polish man. ‘Another day… ended,’ he thought as he rode off into the sunset and the fields.
Any additional information? He lives with his brothers. His mom is currently in a mental institution for depression.
